Hide/Remove default "Contact Name" column in Contact List

I want to be able to hide or remove the default "Contact Name" column in the contact list view. It feels redundant when I already have separate "First Name" and "Last Name" columns. It would be great to have more control over which columns are visible in the main contact table.
